This hotel is an absolute gem and a real bargain! Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel is located perfectly for mainline train travel, and there is plenty to see in the local area: Surabaya seems to be overlooked by tourists, but it is an interesting slice of Indonesian city life, rather than the obvious Instagram moments that people seem to go for. The free breakfast was great and I had a very tasty Indonesian dinner via room service.

The hotel's central location was undoubtedly one of its biggest assets, making it easy to access various attractions and amenities in Surabaya. Additionally, their commitment to sustainability by offering refills for water in glass jugs instead of plastic bottles was commendable and appreciated. The food quality was excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the Vegetarian and Amante di Carne Pizza, which was truly delightful.
